Cereus Argentinensis, also called Montiel cardon, is a tree cactus that reaches a maximum height of 12 m.

Native to Mesopotamia Argentina and inhabiting mainly the provinces of Entre Rios and Corrientes, it has pale blue stems 10 to 15 cm in diameter, 4-5 ribs with 1 or 2 central spines, up to 10 cm long and 5-8 radial. The 20 cm long flowers are white with red outer petals and bloom at night.

Its spiral shape, reminiscent of fractals, makes it a particularly beautiful addition to any garden.
